Welcome to part III of my “Life Story Series.”
If you missed out on last month, feel free to click here: “The Story of Us.”
In case you need a refresher, “Life Story Series” is a 12 month personal project that myself and a group of very talented photographers are participating in. It shows just a little glimpse into our lives. It’s a way for us to capture our memories creatively – just us. At the end of this post you’ll find a link to one of my photographer friends that’s playing along and she’ll be linking to someone else. It’s a whole big circle of stories in pictures. Click through and enjoy!
This month, I’ve chosen “The Story of Christmas Vacation.”
I love Christmas. I always have and I’m betting I always will. Each year my husband drags out the tree and garland Thanksgiving night, just so that I can enjoy the soft glow of the Christmas lights for as long as possible. And each year, my husband is home for the week in between Christmas and New Years – so it’s really such a great time to have together as a family.
So I’ve chosen to share a collection of our week.
First, we made cookies in preparation for Santa’s visit.

And what would making cookies be without eating some of the homemade cookie dough?

We got new Christmas pajamas on Christmas eve, and happily matched. The girls got a kick of their baby brother donning the same Pjs.
And waited for Santa.

We opened our stockings.

And inspected our new toys.

And played some more.

We tried on our new Minnie shades and hung out in pajamas.

We went to the park and saw real live duckies. There was a big sign saying it was illegal to feed the water foul, but judging by how friendly they were, I think people have been disregarding that sign.

We climbed.

And ran.

Climbed in our cribs and played with Daddy.

And the Mamarazzi attacked during our diaper changes. So Mommy will always remember how smaller her babies were.

So that, in a nutshell, has been our Christmas Vacation. It’s been a lot of cuddles, pajama days and play time. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
